Job Description

As a Pool Service Technician, you will provide routine pool maintenance and minor repair services to our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that pools are clean, safe, and performing at their best.

You will also often work in pairs to perform service call-outs and assist our Senior Pool Technicians with pool repairs, equipment installations, and surface restorations. This role requires attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage your time effectively — both when working independently on maintenance routes and when assisting Senior Technicians on service call-outs. Your objective each day will be to complete your assigned service jobs thoroughly, keeping our regular clients happy with our services.

  • Inspect pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and timers for functionality and potential issues.

  • Perform minor repairs on pool equipment as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and chemical levels.

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding the condition of their pool and any necessary repairs or services.

  • Report any significant equipment issues or pool concerns to the office promptly.

  • Adhere to all safety and operational guidelines.

Requirements

  • Experience in pool service and maintenance is preferred but not required; training can be provided.

  • Knowledge of water chemistry and pool equipment operation is a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 25kg and work in outdoor conditions.

  • Self-motivated and able to manage time efficiently.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.

  • A valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record. A company vehicle, supplies, and equipment are provided.

  • A smartphone (iOS or Android) to access our job management platform.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate plus an uncapped bonus scheme tied to job performance and client satisfaction.

  • Flexible schedule.

  • Opportunities for growth within a growing company.

Compensation

This is a part-time employment position (approximately 12-20 hours per week, with the potential to grow into full-time). You’ll receive all standard entitlements including paid leave, superannuation at the legislated rate, and remuneration at or above the relevant Award rate.
