Acid Washing
Years of stains, scale and surface build-up don't have to mean a new pool. Restore the pool back to its original glory.
THE PROCESS
Swim ready in three visits
Water removal
After an assessment we will install our submersible pump to a sewerage line keeping mess to a bare minimum.
Pressure, acid wash and refill
We use both high pressure water blasting along with acid etching to clean your pool surface so it looks brand new.
Water chemistry balance
Once your pool is full, we will return to add chemicals and ensure it is safe for swimming.
Our process
Five steps. No surprises.
We work the same way on every green-pool job — diagnose, treat, vacuum, polish, hand back. Here's what each step actually looks like.
What is acid washing?
Acid washing is a deep restoration treatment for pools that have stains, mineral scale, algae build-up, or surface discolouration that regular cleaning can't lift.
The pool is drained, the interior surfaces are pressure cleaned, and a controlled acid solution is applied to remove the top microscopic layer of plaster, pebble or tile — taking the stains with it.
The result - A surface that looks brand new!
The pool is then refilled and chemically rebalanced.
It's not something every pool needs, and it's not something to do often — done right, an acid wash should set your pool up for the next 5 to 10 years.
Signs your pool needs an acid wash.
- Stains that don't shift with normal cleaning or shock dosing
- A grey, yellow, brown or green tinge across the pool surface
- Visible scale or calcium build-up at the waterline
- The pool has been left untreated, empty, or unused for an extended period
- Black spot or stubborn algae returning after every clean
- You've had the pool for 8+ years and it's never been restored
